Recipes and price estimates are still being tested. Your feedback helps improve them.
Beat the takeaway without killing the craving.
Tell Cravate what you are about to order. It will find something satisfying you can make within your time and budget — or honestly tell you to order it.

How to find a takeaway alternative
Start with the craving
Tell Cravate the takeaway you are considering, such as a burger, noodles or a curry. You can name a dish or describe the flavour and texture you want.
Set your time and budget
Choose how long you have. You can also add a budget, cooking equipment and ingredients you already have. Cravate uses those details to suggest one dish you could make.
Cook it, or order it
The app gives a cook-or-order verdict. If a homemade option is unlikely to fit, it can recommend ordering instead. Recipe steps, prices and times are estimates in this early beta, so check ingredients and food safety before cooking.
What you've eaten today
This is about eating enough, not eating less.
There's no calorie limit here on purpose.
What you've got in
Keep a rough list of what's actually
sitting in your fridge and cupboard, and craving suggestions will prefer using it up over
sending you shopping for something new.
Shop receipts
Scan a receipt to build up real price
history for what things actually cost, shop by shop.
Discover
Swipe on what sounds good — this
teaches Cravate your taste, the same way rating a meal does. Skip anything you're unsure about.

Find a simple way to make what you're craving. Buying is the fallback when your time, budget or kit rules it out. Prices are estimates, not live shop quotes.

RELEASE NOTES
Cravate — 22 Sep 2026
The takeaway-rescue release, plus the full history.
Where are you shopping?
Levels
Your level caps how hard a recipe you'll be given, so you never get handed
something you'll abandon halfway. Each meal teaches one new technique.
Rate a meal 3★ or higher and it counts.
Anything lower doesn't — no point levelling you up on something that went wrong.

They just open the link — no key, no
account, no setup. Works on any phone.
Privacy
Your profile stays on this device unless you create an account. Open “Memory & what it knows” under Preferences for the full data explanation and reset controls.

category and optional name to our private feedback inbox for up to 90 days.
“Just save it on my phone” keeps it here only.

places, memory, fridge, targets, purchase history and what you've logged. Copy the code,
paste it on your other phone or laptop.
Privacy
Your ratings, saved recipes, craving history, fridge and memory are stored in this
browser. If you sign in, that profile is also stored on the server, tied to your
email, so it can be pulled onto another device. Feedback is saved on this device;
you can also choose to send a note to Cravate.
When you ask for a suggestion, the text you typed plus your budget, time
and equipment go to Google's Gemini API to generate the answer. Cravate
does not add your email or account ID to that request and does not store
the raw prompt in its analytics. Google may retain prompts and responses
for a limited period for abuse monitoring. Handling varies by service terms
and region; review Google's Gemini data-use explanation
before sending sensitive details.
A necessary, secure trial cookie tracks the 2-generation allowance in this browser
for up to a year. Clearing cookies or using another browser can start a new trial;
abuse limits apply. This cookie is separate from optional analytics.
If you opt in, Cravate sends usage events so actual usage can be
understood — never craving text, allergies or health details. A rotating
browser identifier and a per-tab session identifier are stored in this
browser. Events sent while signed in are linked to your account; they are
included in your account export and erased when you delete your account.
Events sent while signed out are not linked to your account and remain
until routine daily cleanup removes records older than 90 days. You can
turn this off in Settings.
If you tap “Send to Cravate”, the note, category and optional name are stored
privately for up to 90 days; craving text and profile details are not attached.
Signed-in notes are linked to your account for export and deletion. “Just save
it on my phone” does not send the note.
Receipt scanning: the photo is sent once to generate a text list of
items and prices, then discarded — it isn't stored on the server or kept
anywhere except briefly in memory to process it. Only the resulting text
(shop, items, prices) is saved, and it's saved on this device, same as
everything else. Crop out card numbers, loyalty barcodes or anything else
you don't want read before scanning.
Clearing your browser data deletes the copy on that device. If you're
signed in, the synced server copy remains so it can be restored after you
sign in again.
Danger zone
Wipes ratings, saved meals, fridge, food history, preferences and memory on this device. If you are signed in, the synced server profile is wiped too. Can't be undone.
